PayPal for iPhone updated to version 5.2 today, and as a regular PayPal app user, I couldn’t be happier. The user interface has received the most noticeable changes, and now matches iOS 7 better than before. It wasn’t long ago that PayPal updated their app before, and it was interesting to see it evolve at such a pace.
A new game called Hatch, another digital pet offering, Game Center ready. The first time I saw one of these little globular creatures was inside the Facebook Messenger application’s emoji shop. They are called “Fugu” I believe, and you can name them whatever you’d like after they hatch. Start the game, watch the cool trailer, choose your Fugu’s permanent color, and start geekin’.

Apple has been slowly updating all of its own apps in the App Store, not the apps preinstalled on your iOS device, apps like Find My iPhone, and Find My Friends, iBooks, etc.
The update removes some of the last remaining Apple branded ‘skeuomorphism’ in iOS, unless of course you’re still running a terribly old device. The leather that filled all available real estate has been replaced by open white spaces, very simple looking layouts.
If you like to game on your iOS or Android device, chances are you’ve heard of Candy Crush Saga. Anyone with access to the App Store or with a Facebook account has most likely brushed shoulders with the incredibly popular game.
Just one year after its launch, Candy Crush Saga has reached a whopping 500 million downloads. The Telegraph spoke with Tommy Palm of Developer King, who was very excited to announce the big achievement:

Sony’s PlayStation 4 console has finally created their companion application, entitled ‘PlayStation App.’ Designed so you can interact with your PS4 console experience while on the go. Microsoft released their SmartGlass app for the Xbox console line on October 26, 2012 – more than a year later the Sony PlayStation team has punched back. Is the app as awesome as SmartGlass? I doubt it, but lets look into it anyways.
