Looking to go overboard on an iPad? Well the 128GB iPad has hit online Apple stores today starting with a one to three day shipping estimate, however there's no mention on when you'll be able to pick up this new iPad model in Apple's retail stores. Head inside for all the need-to-know.
The 128GB iPad is offered in the traditional black and white models with either Wi-Fi only being offered at $799 or Wi-Fi and Cellular (LTE) for $929. Wi-Fi models will ship in 1 to 3 days, and the Wi-Fi and cellular models shipping in 3 to 5 days. We're not sure all the countries offering the new 128GB iPad, but iDB mentions that it and its variants are being offered “in every web store we've looked at.” If you happen to come across any where it's not for sale, please note so in the comment section below.
Apple's press release states:
“'With more than 120 million iPads sold, it's clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reason to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs' said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. 'With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
Personally I think this new model is a complete waste of money. Not only is the price to high, but who really needs 128GB of storage on an iPad?: especially when you can pick up a Macbook Pro or Macbook Air for only a couple of hundred dollars more.
Will you be picking up a 128GB iPad?
