With the next iPhone rumored to be sporting a 4.7-inch display, many concept designers and artists have been working on mock-ups to guess what the iPhone 6 will look like. We’ve seen a number of pretty impressive designs but thanks to some leaked schematics, we may have nailed the actual design of the upcoming idevice. The most recent reports and leaked pictures suggest that the iPhone 6 will indeed pack a 4.7-inch display, rounded edges, and a thinner profile.
So would what iOS look like on a larger iPhone? The folks over at 9to5Mac decided to put a Moto X running a simulated version of iOS inside an iPhone 6 dummy unit to see what it would look like. Head inside for the results:
“I was curious to know exactly how iOS would be represented on a 4.7-inch display, so I decided to make an iPhone 6 simulator. This "simulator" takes the 4.7-inch Moto X and places it behind what is rumored to be the bezel for Apple's upcoming iPhone 6. It has been reported that most of the user-interface will be upscaled with the possibility of certain apps being revamped to take advantage of the extra space. “
We’re still unsure whether most apps will just be upscaled for the larger displays or they’ll be redesigned to take advantage of some of that extra real estate. I guess we’ll have to wait a couple months to find out.
