Cydia Substrate and Winterboard come to Android

Big news for the Android community today as Mobile Substrate, Cydia, and WinterBoard founder, Saurik, announced big new plans for Android: he's bringing Mobile Substrate to the platform. Potentially, this means we'll be seeing our favorite Cydia tweaks, themes, and applications on Android devices. Get this, WinterBoard is already available.

Remove Apple’s video size limit in messages and iMessages

I often like to share videos with people over text messages and iMessage, but I run into one problem over and over. That is the restrictive limit Apple, and many others, put on their messaging services. Perhaps you've ran into this same problem, but if you haven't: Apple doesn't let you send videos longer than three and a half minutes. Once again, the jailbreak community is here to save us from Apple's restrictiveness.

‘PullAll’ adds Apple’s pull to refresh feature to all WebView apps

I think this is something that we've all been waiting for ever since the feature, pull to refresh, was first introduced. This is one of my favorite features in iOS, and it's a shame it's so natively limited. Once again the jailbreak community is here to lend a hand: A new tweak, PullAll, adds pull to refresh to any WebView apps. Apps such as Twitter, Reeder, Safari and many more.

New jailbreak tweak eliminates Facebook’s Chat Heads limit

Chat Heads is already a great new addition to the Facebook mobile experience, but the jailbreak community is back once again to up the ante. PoomSmart, an iOS developer, has come out with a new tweak named FB Unlimited Chat Heads. By the name it's pretty obvious what it does: removes the limit Facebook has put on the number of Chat Heads (four) available at once.

New Chinese service lets users pirate apps without a jailbreak

Looks like the Hackulous team was right when they said that other's would pick up where they left off, when news came that Installous would be shut down. A new Chinese service, KuaiYong is letting iOS users bypass iTunes and install pirated apps directly – without a jailbreak.

Upcoming ‘NotesTweak’ brings new, well needed features to the stock iOS Notes app

The Notes app is one of the features that I use the most in all of iOS, noting everything from random thoughts to appointments. Sadly there really isn't much going for it: it's completely bare boned. Thankfully, a soon to be released tweak, conveniently named NotesTweak, is going to step up where Apple has failed to, bringing a number of well needed, useful features to the stock iOS Notes application. Head inside for the list of features.

New Flip Clock widget that has buttery smooth animations

A new tweak in Cydia’s BigBoss repo called Flip Clock has just been released for $.99.  The simple widget has reportedly excellent animations for a notification center widet.  Using an additional tweak such as LockInfo will allow you to present this sleek flip clock on the lockscreen.  A much more logical position in this writers opinion.

QuickShoot Pro will remove steps between you and that photo

A new tweak in the Cydia BigBoss repository called QuickShoot Pro ($.99) will allow users to take photos using an Activator gesture, double or triple tapping the camera icon, as well as assigning the tapping method to other icons, (if you prefer to use alternate camera applications this will benefit you).
