Display Recorder jailbreak app gets updated for iOS 6.1

Many tweak developers have been racing to update their apps for the newly jailbroken iOS 6.1 platform. While there are still plenty of jailbreak apps that need to be updated, great progress has been made over the past couple of days. The latest app to add iOS 6 support is none other than Ryan Petrich’s Display Recorder…

This popular app is the perfect solution for those looking to create guides or review apps on an idevice. Display Recorder does exactly that – it records your idevice’s display and everything you do on it. The app uses your device’s microphone to record audio while capturing video of the screen.

After recording a video, it saves the file to your Camera Roll and gives you the option of uploading it YouTube right from your device. Furthermore, the app allows you to adjust the quality and frame-rate of the video to optimize it for your device.

If you haven’t already, head over to the BigBoss repo on Cydia to check out the awesome app. New users will have to buy Display Recorder for $4.99, while existing users can update for free. Let us know what you think of the app in the comments section below!

Make sure to look around the forums to see how other users are modding and tweaking their idevices! Also, you can check out our Theme Browser and App Reviews page to see what's hot in Cydia right now.
