T-Mobile’s CTO confirmed today in a blog post that the carrier will be upgrading its network to fully handle and support the iPhone:
"A nice side benefit of the refarming effort is that our 4G network will be compatible with a broader range of devices, including the iPhone. The other important benefit of our network modernization effort is the coverage improvements it will deliver, especially when it comes to in-home coverage."
The company already has over one million iPhone users on its network, and it’s obvious that not carrying the iPhone had a big impact on numbers last quarter. This is definitely a good move for T-Mobile.
